T.O.A PROGRAMME
T.O.A stands for Tamaiti o le Ō Atu - our Primary Readiness Programme.

Within this programme we provide some structured learning for our 4 - 5 year olds. We believe that this will help them with transitioning easier into Primary School once they leave the Lupesina nest.

We provide the opportunity here for our children to develop their literacy and numeracy skills. We also work on strengthening their fine and gross motor skills. We also provide the opportunity to build on their confidence, risk taking, problem solving and various other social skills. These can be done in various ways - eg. writing and drawing using different mediums (crayons, felts, whiteboards, etc...), cutting, reading books, exercising, local and external excursions/trips, science/mathematical experiments, games, etc...

This programme can take from 30 minutes - 2 hours long, depending on how the children are feeling.

Our aim for this programme is for our children to be TOA/strong when they leave the Lupesina nest. We would love for them to have a TOA/Warrior spirit and to leave us as confident, capable and competent learners ready to conquer the world!
